The Allison EV40 and EV50 Electric Drives are the cutting edge Hybrid technology from Allison Transmission. The EV40/50 systems consists of a large battery pack or Energy Storage System (ESS), a dual power Inverter (DPIM), the transmission or drive unit, a Vehicle Control Module (VCM) and Transmission Control Module (TCM). All system components rely strongly on the use of the J-1939 CAN bus datalink.

While these units are still relatively new we have a basic knowledge of the operation of these systems. We have cores available for the Drive Units, DPIM and ESS units. We also stock a full line of J-1939 repair connectors, cabling and resistors.
